New Zealand PR Visa

Skilled migrants can establish a long-term presence in New Zealand through the Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. Applicants must send Immigration New Zealand (INZ) an Expression of Interest (EOI) detailing their qualifications, job history, and desire to settle in New Zealand in order to start the process. Candidates who score higher on the EOI are more likely to be invited to apply for permanent residence (PR) based on a point-based system called the Skilled Migrant Category (SMC).

After getting an invitation, candidates continue with the PR application process, completing the necessary paperwork and passing through character and medical evaluations. Being under 55 years old and proving your ability to settle in New Zealand are prerequisites for eligibility. After being granted approval, the PR Visa gives holders and the members of their qualifying family permanent resident status, enabling them to live, work, and study in New Zealand for an unlimited period of time. They can also choose to seek citizenship at a later time.
