PTE Academic is a thorough assessment tool that uses a three-hour computer-based test to assess speaking, writing, listening, and reading abilities. To finish the exam, candidates must go to a secure Pearson testing facility. For audio activities, they must use a computer and a headset.

Test Structure:

1. Speaking and Writing (77-93 minutes)

   Examinees showcase their spoken and written English skills in an academic setting in this segment. Reading aloud, repeating sentences, and introducing oneself are among the tasks.
   

2. Reading (32-41 minutes)

   This section evaluates reading comprehension using multiple-choice, rearranged paragraphs, and fill-in-the-blank formats. The test consists of fifteen to twenty-five independent and integrated skill items.
   

3. Listening (45-57 minutes)

   This section assesses listening skills using audio and video samples. Test-takers only hear each clip once, so they must pay close attention. The clips play automatically. Taking notes is permitted.
