The UK Spouse Visa is intended for those who are partners with British citizens or have an indefinite leave of absence in the UK. It permits them to go to the UK to join or stay with their spouse. If the spouse is presently outside of the UK but intends to return with the applicant, they can also apply for this visa.
Requirements for a UK Spouse Visa Application:
To obtain a UK Spouse visa, candidates need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Partner Qualifications: Your spouse needs to possess Indefinite Leave to Remain in the United Kingdom or be a British citizen.
- Age Requirement: You and your spouse must both be older than eighteen.
- Lawful Matrimony: You both need to have met in person and be lawfully married to your spouse.
- Sincere Partnership: You have to want to live together long-term and your connection has to be sincere.
- Prior Relationships: All prior partnerships must have come to an end amicably.
- Financial Stability: You have to show that you can support yourself in the UK without using government money.
- Accommodation: You and any accompanying dependents must have sufficient lodging.
- Language proficiency in English: You must be able to communicate in English at the necessary level.
Financial Requirement for a UK Spouse Visa:
You must prove that your spouse, or both of you jointly if you are in the UK with lawful leave to remain, earns the following gross yearly income to satisfy the financial requirements for a UK Spouse visa application:
- £18,600 for the sponsor's partner or spouse.
- An extra £3,800 for the first child (not a permanent resident of the United Kingdom or an EEA national).
- An extra £2,400 for every extra kid (who is not a permanent resident of the United Kingdom or an EEA national).
This means that you won't need government assistance to keep yourself comfortable in the UK. To comply with this criterion, it's critical to submit proof of income in the form of paystubs, bank statements, tax returns, or other financial records.
